This Philips LED lamp is the perfect light source for creating a warm and cosy ambience. WarmGlow technology allows you to adjust the light to your wishes. Not only does the brightness of the light decrease when dimming it, but the colour also scales down to a warmer colour temperature. When the lamp is dimmed, the light gets warmer – all while consuming little energy. This lamp emits warm white light with a colour temperature of 2700K, which can be dimmed down to 2200K at the lowest setting. The maximum light output is 470 lumens, compared to a consumption of 3.4W (138 lumens per watt). This candle lamp fits large fittings (E27) and has a matte finish. As a result, it works well in open fixtures and chandeliers. In addition, the light has a high colour rendering index (CRI value) of 90. This means that the light quality is high; the light colours appear natural and very true to life.

  • Color Temperature Color temperature is the color of the light that is emitted by a lamp. It is measured in Kelvin (K) and ranges from about 1000 to 10000. A temperature of 1000 is warm candle-like light, 10000 is cold blue-like light. For normal house lighting a temperature around 2700K is advised.

  • Lumen Lumen is the amount of light that is produced by a lamp. Different types of lamps (incandescent, CFL, halogen, LED) need a different amount of energy to produce the same amount of light. However there are always other factors which influence the exact amount and direction of light. Despite differences in energy consumption, the amount of lumen is the same for different types of lamps and therefore they should produce the same amount of light.

  • CRI / Ra CRI / Ra is the Color Rendering Index, measured in Ra. It defines the quality of light when seen by the human eye. The CRI / Ra provides information about how real colors appear under certain light circumstances. The CRI scales from 0 to 100 where 100 is the best possible light quality.
